I said "Bump This, Let's Do The Dang Thang!"
I started taking every business building course I could find, I started signing up for coaching programs left and right hoping I'd eventually find the "one" and I'd magically be cured of my anxiety and my business would skyrocket to 6 figures overnight.
But guess what....nothing worked! Now I did learn a ton, don't get me wrong, and some of the knowledge I gained I still use today, BUT, when it come to overcoming the anxiety and putting myself out there I was still the same quiet, shy, hidden in the shadows business owner I was to start with. No matter how many times I recited positive affirmations or practiced positive self-talk I just could NOT get over the anxiety. But then inspiration hit....anxiety is a mental disorder and needs to be handled mentally.
So I started documenting all my anxiety attacks, started taking notes on every single anxious moment I had during the course of 24 hours, and I began deep diving into my life. What was I eating? What was I drinking? What kind of things was I telling myself? I reflected on every single area of my life and before I knew it I had an entire notebook full of helpful information. I knew what I was currently doing, and I already knew that wasn't working, so now it was time to do the opposite.
By taking one small step every single day I began to see a decrease in my overall anxiety, I began to feel better, sleep better, and even enjoy my life again. I found a strength and courage that I never even knew existed! And today I can confidently say no matter how severe your anxiety is, no matter how scary your anxiety may be, and no matter how hopeless building a business feels, you CAN do it!
